Why can't we be good? Seriously why are humans evil?
Is it the Fall of Man? Is it that the human brain delights in evil? Like are serial killers born that way or they didn’t receive no love as child? Or is it society and the media? Like those Hollywood movies who promote the gangster lifestyle.
It is the lack of God in society that causes evil.

I hope you mean why are some humans evil. I for one do not consider myself evil.
As for the some, we are just a more advanced animal. You are always going to get people who put their own wants and needs ahead of the wellbeing of others.

It’s a mix of the above. Some people are just sick creatures with no purpose in their demeaning lives other than to force others to have to be around their sick twisted delights. I wish we could all live in harmony but it seems that my hope is falling down into a bottomless pit.

Yeah it’s the fall. Proof that sin has stained our natures is that we die. That’s what Romans says.

I think it’s human brain delights. Some religous people would say that it’s the fall of the first humans in the Garden of Eden but I cant argue with that. Humans are born with wickedness in them and it comes naturally when they’re in a bad mood making someone elses life worse takes away their pain. Then it makes it worse in some places because the more often people act that way the more people watch and begin to think it’s normal and there’s nothing wrong with it and that causes it to happen more often depending how messed up the society is.

Satan and his demons are influencing the entire world, I’m sure that must have something to do with it.

All of the above. The Fall of Man is a story written by exilic authors to provide an etiology for evil in the world. It doesn’t mean a real couple ate from a real tree in a real magic garden after having a real conversation with a serpent. It just means that humankind is capable of great evil, and God is working to redeem us unto him.

We are a crazy bunch.

If the humans die, the earth lives."

This question makes me want to cry. I ask myself this same question all the time! I even log onto Yahoo Answers and see the most heartless, racist, evil-ass comments EVER!
There are good people, and I truly believe that there’s a special place for them!

Humans are not actually evil, at least not the vast majority. Some are selfish, some are cruel, some have no morals at all. But evil is an abstraction, not a personality characteristic.
Serial killers and other people who are really vicious are studied by psychologists and all sorts of serious research is done about them. There are no easy answers, but surely having a dysfunctional childhood is one common thread. Charles Manson told the story that when he was very young, his mother offered him to a waitress for a pitcher of beer. The waitress, assuming it was a joke, served the beer. When his mother had finished the beer, she left him and walked out of the bar. The waitress did not know what to do, and so took the child home. It was several days before his uncle made inquiries and found him.
But sometimes it’s not the parents, or even other people in the child’s environment. Sometimes there is no clear answer to the question "Why." The media glorifying criminals and other bad guys certainly does not help, but lots of people attend those movies, watch those TV shows, play those video games, and never do anything which could be called evil. Why? Sometimes we just don’t know. That’s why research continues.
We do know one thing: it is not religion that makes the difference. There is some evidence that it is one of the causes, but it’s by no means the cure.
Morality is doing what is right, no matter what you are told.
Religion is doing what you are told, no matter what is right.

it is both nature and nurture.
we are humans, and as humans we are apes, and as apes we are animals.
the human needs something to A. focus on and B. fight.
now, you msut look at how situational the "evil" is.
if he kills random people who have wives and kids at home.
then he is evil, but if he kills a terrorist, then he is an army hero.
they are not evil they are focused and fighting.
most psychopathic people have a certain thing that makes the desire to kill.
whatever that trigger is, is the symbol of the enemy.
jsut like after 9/11 the turban became a sign to watch carfully the one who wears it.
most people did that, no one saw that arabic guy in the 7-11 or whatever the same way again.
we are focused, we are ready to fight.
we are ready to fight everything to defend ourselves, and we are ready to focus on whomever needs that aggresion to continue safty.
the reason hollywod continues this, is that the basics of humanity is this animalistic nature, that is why the top films are love films and vilent films and comedies.
one, our instinct to find companionship among society hence love.
two, our insticnt to fight and defend, so we have films that are defense theme, or the good vs evil theme. your "taken" or "transformers".
and three, comedy, the one that takes us out of the defence mode, and lets us relax, as comedy is all about watching somone get hurt in some way, all comedy is based on somthings tragedy, so we watch an object or person go through trial and trial, and watch their life breakdown in a comical way, the person we see, has potential to be declared our enemy, but we watch him fail again and again.
that is what comdey is.
that is what evil is.
now, think about it this way, if you watched from a tv set, a set of beings talking to invisible people, and killing eachother, does that not remind you of something out of a bugs bunny cartoon
"be very very quiet, im hunting terrorists!"
