How does one get into the animation field?
I want to be able to create my own cartoons eventually. I love the unique worlds such as Cowboy Bebop, or Aeon Flux… and I want to know how to get a job like that.

I graduated from art college several years ago. AAC in the bayarea. If you don’t know anyone who’s in animation field, you can try to present your idea and art work to the teachers in art school. Most of teachers in my school are not professional educator but professional artist. Such as most teachers who is teaching animation may from the big film company. Some of them fly from LA to give us class everyweek.
I thought you may start from their if you go some good stuff. But if you really got some great stuff, be careful with who you deal with. We had sign the contract that all our works belong to school when we were. I have known there some teachers keep student’s idea become their own…

Look into getting enrolled in a graphic arts class in a college or school, and take it from there.

Do a course in Animation…. If your drawing is very very good, then you stand a good chance.

If you have the love and obviously talent you can!
Good animation takes countless time and effort.
Be consistant do not drift in to other things in that area
You can professionalize abything if you just keep on keeping on!

Goodluck, animation is good fun work
bringin life to a character is certainlya great feeling of giving birth.

Fantasia/2000
Fantasia/2000 (1999)

IMDB rating: 7.20

Plot: In this update of Disney’s masterpiece film mixture of animation and music, new interpretations of great works of music are presented. It begins with an abstract battle of light and darkness set to the music of Beethoveen’s Fifth Symphony. Then we see the adventures of a Humpback Whale calf and his pod set to “The Pines of Rome.” Next is the humourous story of several lives in 1930’s New York City, scored with “Rhapsody in Blue.” Following is a musical telling of the fairy tale, “The Steadfast Tin Soldier” set to Dmitri Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No. 2. Then a goofy Flamingo causes havoc in his flock with his yo-yo to the tune of the finale of “Carnival of the Animals.” This is followed by the classic sequence from the original film, “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” starring Mickey Mouse and followed by “Pomp and Circumstance” starring Donald Duck as a harried assistant to Noah on his Ark. Finally, we see the awesome tale of the life, death and renewal of a forest in a sequence featuring the composition, “The Firebird.”

I used to watch The Little Mermaid constantly when it first came out. I was obsessed! I would take a bath and pretend I was Ariel all the time. Had the barbies, and everything! At 23 now, I would like buy the DVD and keep for my children. I also loved Aladdin (although, nothing beat The Little Mermaid!) and also had the barbie dolls and thought the magic carpet was the coolest thing ever.

Can a "drunk in public" charge be dropped-California?
I was recently arrested and charged with Obstruction and Drunk in public. Long story short, someone else was driving my vehicle, he was charged with a DUI. I asked the officer if I can drive my own vehicle home as I was not intoxicated and he said that he did not have to give me that option. Then as I did not follow his instructions to walk to the corner of the street away from the vehicle, I stood in front of him calling home to get picked up, as he initially instructed, he handcuffed me and arrested me and I was charged with obstruction and drunk in public.

I only had two drinks that night which I admitted to because I asked him for a breathalyzer and blood test in case he was trying to screw me over with that charge but once I was in the detention center, they did neither one.

Can that charge stick if there is no reason for the charge? or no proof of intoxication?

Look, Up in the Sky: The Amazing Story of Superman
Look, Up in the Sky: The Amazing Story of Superman (2006)

IMDB rating: 8.00

Plot: In 1938, two aspiring comic strip talents, Jerry Siegal and Joe Shuster, published a character that would create a new genre of fantasy, Superman, the first superhero. This film explores the creation of the character and his subsequent evolution over the decades through various media. With various interviews of noted creative luminaries, the film shows how the character has adapted to the times and bounced back from times when he felt irrelevant to always regain his prominence as one of the great heroes of popular culture.

Directors: Burns Kevin

Actors: Ackerman Forrest J,Adler Gilbert,Bender Stephan,Brando Marlon,Dean Cain,Carlin Mike,Christopher Gerard,Cooper Jackie,Didio Dan,Donner Richard,Dougherty Michael,Fishler Stephen,Gough Alfred,Grossman Gary H.,Hamill Mark,Documentary,History,

In the 'Superman' documentary, all living characters of the genre are interviewed except Tom Welling. Why?
In the documentary, "Look, up in the sky!: The amazing story of Superman", all living characters involved with the genre are interviewed except Tom Welling - who is the star of TV’s hit show, ‘Smallville’. Tom Welling has been a major contribution to the genre, and is a major celebrity still living. Why was he not involved? Did he refuse, or was he ignored? Or did other schedules conflict?

that is a pretty glaring omission. I haven’t saw it. was this the same show I saw on a&e a few months ago narrated by kevin spacey? it seems like there were 2 shows like that, one on a&e the other on discovery channel and I’m pretty sure I saw tom welling in one of them.
surely he wouldn’t refuse, and it wouldn’t take that long to get some clips so schedule conflict should be out. maybe he wasn’t because technically he isn’t superman yet.
but I’m sure I have saw him on some superman/superhero doc where he was talking about meeting christoper reeve in that one episode and his(tom’s) part in the grand scheme of things.
I’ll have to rent it

HYSTERECTOMY AND LOWER RIGHT ABDOMINAL PAIN?
I had a hysterectomy with oophrectomy in 1997 age 26 for endometriosis and it was the worst mistake i ever made. Very few women know a hysterectomy is actually a female castration. I was scared into having the op by my dr. Since then i have had chronic hip and back pain and sciatica, weight gain and premature aging. After the surgery a student nurse ripped the dressing off without soaking it and this pulled my incision open on my right side. For the week i was in hospital the wound was left gaping and bleeding and it was only when i went home i organized a home nurse myself and she was horrified saying it should have been packed and dressed or it would never heal. Now 3 years ago i collapsed with severe lower right sided pain and was rushed to hospital. Weirdly it stopped suddenly when i arrived like flicking a switch, nurse said it was probably wind, lol. 4 months later pain returned dr thought maybe appendicitis was sent to hospital had x-ray and blood test nothing else. Then dr said it was prob adhesion’s and i should get a hobby and learn to live with it. For the past year pain has pretty much gone until last saturday when it returned with a vengeance and now it is there constantly, gnawing away. Went to dr this morning he said prob adhesion’s but finally i am going to be referred for a scan. Pain is where my incision opened and is also where i had the pain from the ovarian cyst before my op. Could it be adhesions or is it something else. I just want to know what is wrong and for the pain to go away. I feel so depressed and unwell i just feel like taking all my painkillers and going to sleep. I feel like i am 80, this operation ruined my health.

this is really sad…the doctors are like playing a guessing game….saying it is probably the adhesion’s fault…..

if my doctors told me to do any type of surgery i would refuse….except if there’s a bullet lodged somewhere or if some bone is broken. those are the only 2 exceptions when i would do surgery.

what i can tell you is that you should look up Bob Beck, and learn about the Bob beck protocol. look into colloidal silver also. some websites you should look up are: sota instruments, campingsurvival (colloidal silver seller….the brand is ASAP by american biotech), and maybe you should go tell your doctor about how you feel and see what they are going to propose next.

As a person who DESPISES classical doctors and the pharmaceutical industry… it pains me to know you are in such excruciating pain… really! I wish I had known you before you allowed this dreadful experience to take place.

Anyway, it is all going to be better now.

1.) go get yourself some ‘Bu Zhong Yi Qi Wan’ - this product is suppose to have a specific function (the Spleen)… however, I have found when I recommend it to my clients for abdominal pain… it works like a charm, it helps stop hernia’s in progress, any type of abdominal discomfort or sever cramping and pain. It is truly a SUPERLATIVE product; guaranteed.

If you have anymore issues, post here and if I’m online I’ll help you address any problems with quality natural products… ZERO side-effects, and very little money.

Keep hope alive, you’ll be fine soon.

Wherever you live, get yourself a Homeopathic Doctor; one that will work with you naturally. Yes, the government makes sure they don’t accept insurances … however, it is about your well-being… that take 1st place.

All the bes!

Lookout, The (2007)

IMDB rating: 7.40

Plot: An admired high school hockey player (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) with a bright future foolishly takes a drive in the night with his girl friend and two other friends with his headlights off with devastating results. The former athlete is left with a brain injury that prevents him from remembering many things for extended periods of time. To compensate, he keeps notes in a small notebook to aid him in remembering what he is to do. He also lives with a blind friend (Jeff Daniels) who aids him. Obviously, with the mental incapacitation, he is unable to have meaningful work. Thus he works as a night cleaning man in a bank. It is there he comes under the scrutiny of a gang planning to rob the bank. The leader (Matthew Goode) befriends him and gets him involved with a young woman (Isla Fisher) who further reels him in. After they get close and after reeling him in with his own failures, the bank plan unfolds. Confused but wanting to escape his current existence, he initially goes along with the scheme. After realizing he is being used, he attempts to stop the robbery, which of course immediately goes awry. Bruce McGill and Alberta Watson also co-star as the young man’s parents, who still search for the person that was there before the tragic crash.

it just seemed to end very abruptly and it was also super short. i beat it in an hour and 10 minutes.
